I have done extensive research on my mothers paternal side of family on paper her mothers side is not as traceable only to the name of her grandmother who was born in Ireland. I have taken the NatGeo test for the haplogroup and now will now take the full genome sequence to be more precise. I also am doing the family finder and ethnic % to give me clues to the half of my DNA make up I have no idea about. I was not raise with mother nor have any idea who my father was. What is on my birth cert is the man she was married to at the time which because of a DNA test 10 years ago ruled him out. She went to her grave with the mystery at my expense. I am hoping there is someone on my fathers side who has the curiosity and interest in the history that I have always had. I will have to use the process of elimination and Ahope there is something in his DNA to stand out from my mothers.. Do you think I
can with these new tests and banks that collect this genetic info... give me any idea what the other half of me contains?? I don't have the hope of a name but maybe an ethnic clue from this kind of testing? Plead give me any other hints on tracing an unknown line. I am sure he is long gone anyway but even a little info would be fine for me.

Dear,
I do work in forensics and I went through your article, I was thinking if we had a data base applying the mtDNA and another one for the Y-DNA it wouldve been easier if there was international cooperation.

Today i received a case for a unknown baby found somewhere, and i was asked to determine both the mother and father profiles. which i was looking for a way to help me out, and what i found is nothing to help me direct in this,
please if anyone can help me out to solve this problem, i would be thankful.

A situation like that is somehow made me realize that as my grandmother always told me that sex should only be done when you are legally married, to avoid this thing to happen. And I guess DNA can't be the solution.
