Hsien – the SF Bay Guardian article and the Jewish Journal article appear to be nearly identical, so I wish I had made the connection earlier! I agree that this was probably written to stir up a little controversy, which I think CAN be good journalism when it is backed up with well-researched facts and ideas. This article was hastily or poorly put together without any real research, and it failed to add anything to the conversation.
